RICHARD BYRON BELFIELD With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Richard Belfield on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at his residence at the age of 59 years. Born in Yorkton, SK, September 7, 1945, and as part of a military family, Richard travelled and attended schools in Canada and England. He worked for many years at Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg before retiring for medical reasons. In his younger years Richard enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, bowling and golfing. Later, playing cards regularly, bingo and the occasional trip to Las Vegas were some of his pleasures. However, his greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Uncle Ricky will be remembered as the kindest, most generous loving uncle ever. We will miss, love and cherish his memory forever. Richard is survived by his brother Barrie (Kathy) of Calgary; sisters, Bonnie Bailey and Faye Hamilton (Andrew); nephews, Brad Bailey (Susan), Troy Bailey (Karin) and Mark Hamilton of Kelowna; nieces, Aynsley Hamilton and Natalie Belfield of Calgary; as well as numerous other relatives and friends across Canada. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Dr. Robert and William. In keeping with Rick's wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family dinner was held to celebrate his life. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
