ELLEN DOLORES GUDMUNDSON Following a lengthy battle with lung disease on Sunday, June 20, 2005, at the EM Crowe Memorial Hospital, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother entered into a peaceful rest at the age of 71 with her family at her side. Ellen was born October 4, 1933 in Winnipeg, MB. She devoted her life to her family and cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed knowing every move they made. Ellen enjoyed crafting, gardening and cooking until her health slowed her down. She loved watching gardening and cooking shows. She was an excellent knitter and took pleasure in listening to music. She will be sadly missed by husband of 53 years, Leonard Gudmundson; daughter Candace (Bruce) McKinnon, granddaughters, Heather (Horace), Alicia (Craig), grandson Brent; daughter Cindy (Kerry) Kollman, grandsons, Mike (Stephanie), Kevin (Kaitie), Tyler; daughter Darcy (Mike) Lamb, grandsons, Randy, Elvis, granddaughter Brandy; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tiffany, Orrin, Jarrett and Jacob; brothers, Leo, Harold, Lenny (Phyllis); sisters, Fran Kettle, Eleanor Anderstedt; sisters-in-law, Evelynne Lundquist, Lorna (Reg) Anderson, Linda Plater and Doreen Annette (Mel) and many other family members. Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Axle and Albina and her brother Einar. In accordance with Ellen's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the EM Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, not only for the wonderful care they gave our Mom, but also for the support and kindness you showed our family.
