EDWARD TRACH With sadness we announce the passing of Ed on June 23, 2005 just a month short of his 78th birthday. Ed will be missed by his sister Bernice Drohomereski; his nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Perry, Susan, Bev, John, Nancy and Don along with their families. Edward was predeceased by his parents, John and Albina; brother Tony; sister-in-law Ollie; sister Louise; brother-in-law Ted; and great-nephew Bowan. Edward was born in the RM of Gimli and farmed with his parents on No. 9 and 1/4 mile road until his father retired in 1970. During that time he also worked on various highway crews until he joined the Provincial Parks where he worked for several years cutting grass and trees and all the other related duties , retiring in 1992. He moved to Winnipeg Beach Senior's Lodge in October, 2000. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Patel and staff of the Gimli Community Health Centre for the excellent care and compassion they showed during this difficult time and to all those that visited Eddy during his stay. An extra special thank you to Agnes and Gail for their kindness. In accordance with Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place . A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Winnipeg Beach with Fr. Ernest Kamath officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards the Assisted Living Centre project sponsored by the Gateway Foundation, Box 172, Winnipeg Beach, MB R0C 3G0. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
