JERRY (JAROSLAW) KUCZERA March 24, 1918 - June 22, 2005 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Jerry Kuczera at the age of 87, on Wednesday, June 22, 2005. His devoted wife was by his side for his peaceful journey. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Anne whom he was married to for 51 years; his children, Ed (Doris), Rich (Robyn); grandchildren, James, Christina, Curtis, Steven, Ashley, Mitchell; and one great-grandchild Kaia. Jerry also leaves behind numerous loving family and friends. He was predeceased by son Ron in 1996, his parents and siblings. Jerry was born and grew up in Kupicov, Poland. Later he served in the Second War World with the Polish Army. He immigrated to Canada in 1948 and worked as a tailor at Eaton's for over 33 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and entertaining friends. He loved to spend his spare time gardening and planting at the cottage. The family thanks Dr. Spanihel, nurse Alison and Linda for the wonderful home care provided. Sincere thanks to all the staff at Selkirk General for their support and compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A private interment (family and close friends) will take place at the Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Dad We've know this time was coming for so very long, And even though it's here it just doesn't belong. We know the pain and suffering you lived through, We want you back with us, we wanted you to stay, We just wanted the pain and suffering to go away, Your pain left you ragged, a poor worn out man. You worked so hard for so many years with just one thought in mind, To help your children as they grew, a wonderful father like you, No one will ever again find. We gave you our love, it helped, that it helped you to live, Now your aching body has stopped living its life, Here left on this earth are your children and wife, And you're up in heaven with the Lord above, We will love and miss you forever - dear dad.
