VERENA STALDER With family by her side, Verena passed away one day before her 86th birthday on Saturday, May 28, 2005. Mom (Muetti) and Grossmuetti will be lovingly remembered by her son Fred (Sandy), children, Eric and Marc, Winnipeg; son Lawrence (Joy), children, Paul and Natalie, Calgary; daughter Suzanne (Grant MacArthur), children, Peter, Sarah and Jennet, Calgary; and son Peter, San Francisco. She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Fred, in 1991. Born in Switzerland, Muetti lived in Winnipeg for 36 years, 20 of which were spent as an integral part of the team at Elmhurst Golf Club that her husband managed. Verena was actively involved with her churches, first with St. John's Presbyterian, and later with Fort Garry United. She was a member of the Swiss Club of Manitoba and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Verena enjoyed being physically active, curling at the Wildewood Club, and exercising at the Reh-Fit Centre. Calgary has been home to Muetti for the past ten years. Muetti's life was devoted to her children and grandchildren, always with a positive attitude and cheerful disposition. You are invited to celebrate her life with her family at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd. on Wednesday, June 29 at 1:30 p.m. Muetti and Grossmuetti we miss you
