BEA (BEATRICE) KAPLAN Beatrice Kaplan was born September 15, 1924 in Winnipeg, MB, the youngest of seven children to Avrum and Etta Posner. Bea married Sunny Kaplan on May 1, 1946 and together they raised Susan, Avrum and Leslie. Bea was a skilled athlete in numerous sports throughout her life, including baseball, skating, bowling and golf. As a parent, a grandparent and a friend, Bea was a strong, loving presence in all of our lives; comfortable to sit quietly and observe. Bea will be dearly missed by her children Susan, Ian, Avrum, Marla and Les; her grandchildren Andrew, Emily, Joseph, Lori, Aaron and Grainne; and her lifelong friend Max Chisick. Our sincere thank-you to Dr. Navaratnum at Manitoba Cancer Care, Dr. Shaoli Shi and the Palliative Care Unit for all their loving care.
