RONNIE CLARKE PACE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronnie Pace of Winnipeg Beach on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the Gimli Community Health Center. Ron was born on August 20, 1928 in Trenton, NS. He served in the Armed Forces, worked at Shriner's Hospital, Bay Bronze and numerous other occupations. One of his favourite pastimes was family get togethers, where we all played guitars and sang the Good Old Songs. Ron is survived by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn; children, Joan, Jim (Anita), Ken (Marian) and Kathy (Patrick); numerous grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Budia (Bob) and Pearl; brother Robert; brother-in-law John (Mary); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents, Henry and Elizabeth; sisters Barbara and Winnifred and his brother George. At Ron's request there will be no formal service at this time. His ashes will be taken to Nova Scotia for interment in the family plot at a later date. The family would like to thank all of the nurses, staff and Dr. R. C. Patel for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Ron throughout his stay at the Gimli Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • It was with great sadness that I heard the news of Grandpa's passing. Although we have not remained in touch, I have always remembered and loved him. After speaking with the nurse that spent his final hours with him I have made a donation to the Diabetes Association (as that was his main ailment) in honour of him. Best wishes to all - Posted by: Michelle (Family) on: Jul 13, 2005

  • Sorry to hear about your husband and father's death. Auntie Ann left a message on mom and dad's (Ralph and Betty) machine to let us know. I always remember your family and all the time we saw each other at Grandma and Grampa Juenkes. Hope you all are well. - Posted by: Janice Woligroski (nee Juenke) (Family) on: Jun 28, 2005
