TEENIE WOROSZ It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Teenie Worosz on June 26, 2005 at Victoria Hospital at the age of 99 years. Teenie leaves to cherish in her memory her loving family; daughter Helen Osadick; son Walter (Lynne); grandchildren, Debbie (Bill), Donnie (Laurie), Brian (Patti), Heather, Robert (Carol) and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kaleigh, Brody, Christine, Matthew and Grace. She leaves to mourn cousins, nieces, nephews and Kelsey. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, who passed away in 1993; great-granddaughter Ashlyn; son-in-law Don who passed away in November 2004. Teenie was born on March 24, 1906 in Unterwalden, Austria. She came to Canada in 1927, where she met Joseph and they married in 1935. Teenie (Nanny) loved working in her garden and taking care of her flowers, pickling, baking and making perogies for her family. Most important was her family who she cared deeply for. She always put them first. She loved spending time with everyone and always had a hug and kiss for each of us too. Nanny has been the centre of our family, giving us so much love and bringing us together for all these years. She was mom, Nanny and our best friend. We will miss her more than words can ever express. A sincere thanks to the staff at Victoria General Hospital, Nova Vista Park Lodge, Home Care and the YMCA Seniors program. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, 361 Burrows Ave. with Very Rev. Msgr. Wesley Cwieka officiating. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Polish National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Teenie's memory to a charity of your choice.
