GEORGES JOSEPH GUERTIN Peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2005 with his family at his side, Georges Guertin passed away at the age of 84 years. Georges was predeceased by his parents; sister Louise and brother Antoine. He will be sadly missed by his wife Shelia; four children, Janet (Danny), Denys (Carol), Paulette and Geo; one brother Norbert; two sisters, Marie-Antoinette and Therese; grandchildren, Michele, Kristjan, Denny, Kerri, Jennifer, Courtney, Janette, Marc, Amanda, Cortney (deceased); great-grandchildren, Dahlia, Denise, Desiree, Lucas, Ben, Trinity and Tosh. Georges was a proud lifetime member of the Liberal Party. One of his great passions was anything he could do for the Party and gave countless hours and all of his time for them. Georges loved his outdoors with his family and friends playing card games, Poker and Blitz. He spent a lot of time at Big Whiteshell Lake where he was a pioneer and one of the first to build at the lake. Georges also loved fishing and his deer hunting trips to Hartney, MB with his cronies. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
