THELMA ROSE TRAVERSE-ROPER April 15, 1969 - June 27, 2005 With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Thelma Rose Traverse-Roper of Fairford, MB, on June 27, 2005, at the age of 36 years. Thelma is survived by her husband Steve; her son Skylar; her mother Beatrice; her father Edgar; sisters, Brenda (Clarence), Gwen, Kathy (Mike), Nikki, Jennifer and Jody; brothers, Derek, Chris (Evelyn) and Audie; grandmothers, Clara and Jessie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Thelma was predeceased by both her grandfathers, Alexander Traverse on February 10, 1991, and Peter Woodford on June 30, 2000; her grandmother Mary Jane Traverse on July 30, 2000; uncles, Stanford Traverse (1976) and Alfred Traverse on March 27, 1993; aunties, Lillian Traverse (1976) and Edna Traverse (1981); and her brother-in-law Glen Colomb in June of 1996. Thelma was born in Ashern, MB, on April 15, 1969. She was always laughing out loud for everyone to know that she was happy. She would ask, So, how are you? Thelma was always willing to lend a helping hand. She would often phone her dad to find out how he was doing, no matter where she was. She was very kind hearted. Thelma's grandfather Peter called her Neechi , just his way of calling two of his granddaughters, Thelma and Melissa. Thelma was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, auntie and niece. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A wake service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 3 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, MB, Jim Anderson officiating.
