JOHANN K. SAWATZKY September 28, 1928 - June 27, 2005 Peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2005 Johann K. Sawatzky passed away at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital. Johann is survived by his wife Katharina of 54 years and their children, Willy (Irmgard) and two daughters, Jake (Anna) and four sons, Lydia (Henry) one daughter and three sons, Ben (Dorcas) two sons and two daughters, Ruben (Martha) one son and two daughters, Richard (Janet) one son and two daughters, Mika (Ben) three sons and one daughter, Wilfred (Shirley) and three sons, Werner, Arthur (Sher) one son and two daughters, Regina (Gary) one son and two daughters, Lottie (Marty) two sons and one daughter, Albert (Christy), Alfred, Darlene (Rob) and one son; six brothers; three sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Johann was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, four brothers and one granddaughter. Thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Bethesda Hospital for excellent care. Viewing service was held Wednesday, June 29 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Steinbach Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Thursday, June 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Niverville Heritage Centre with viewing one hour prior to the service.
