After training at the Manitoba Institute of Technology, he spent his entire working life as a machinist at the CNR Transcona Shops. During his long retirement, despite various health problems, he derived great pleasure from travel, reading, gardening, music and especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom he was Nanu. Never one to seek the limelight, Tony was a dependable, generous and compassionate man, always ready, along with Eileen, to offer assistance and hospitality, to set an extra place for the unexpected guest. His example of love, courage and fidelity will be treasured by all who knew him. Many thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Concordia Hospital's Ward N1 South.
