WILLIAM (BILL) HENRY OLAFSON After a very courageous battle with cancer, Bill passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the age of 56. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife of 31 years, Rita; his sons, Terry (Karen), Berrie (Tina); daughters, Valerie and Cindy (Shawn); grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Matthew, Lindsay, Austin and Cole; brothers, Earl (Pat), Myron (Mildred), Ken (Dale); sisters, Alice (Albert Rahn), Velma (Dan Miechkota), Joan (Norman Yvon); many nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Irene, and his brother Derl. Having grown up at Victoria Beach, Bill enjoyed returning there to visit with his family and friends. He took pleasure in working on cars with his father when he was younger, and later with his friends. He never tired of watching a good boxing match. In keeping with Bill's wishes, a private family gathering will take place at Victoria Beach. In honour of Bill's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Cancer Care and a special thanks to Norma and Jennifer, the palliative care after hours nurses for their support.
