Date of Passing: Mar 07, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT IVAN DOROSH November 28, 1931 - March 7, 2005 It is with great sadness that his family announces the sudden passing of Al Dorosh. Dad was born in Winnipeg, MB, and lived most of his adult life in Clandeboye, MB, with the love of his life and his best friend, Barbara (Pruden); his daughters, Laurel and Coral and son Barry. About 17 years ago, Dad and Mom moved to Vancouver and thoroughly enjoyed their retirement. Dad was a thinker and a traveller, a student and a teacher, a philosopher and a friend. His life was an excellent adventure. His definition of luxury was having enough money to do what he wanted and in his own words he did it all. When Mom passed away April 2004, he missed her deeply. Dad has asked that we celebrate his life, not mourn his passing. So, if you can, please help us by remembering him as he lived, not as he died. We will miss him greatly. Daughters, Laurel Maki, North Vancouver, BC, Coral Dorosh (Ed Zurawell), Sherwood Park, AB; granddaughters, Lauren Redman, Vancouver, BC, Emma Zurawell, Sherwood Park; brother Gene Dorosh, New Westminster, BC; sister Helene Waring, Sante, CA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. George's Anglican Church, Wakefield, with the Venerable Godfrey Maweejje officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the churchyard. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
