ANNE VORAUER Before dawn on July 1, 2005, Anne Vorauer passed away in the loving company of her three children, Jack, Lynda and Eileen, just before her 95th birthday. Anne kept her zest for life, extraordinary intelligence and sense of humour to the end. Her strong constitution and fierce independence were legendary and she always put others' needs first, yet in the last few weeks she learned to allow others to care for her and to accept their love. She said, I'm being treated like a queen! This was well deserved after a life of many challenges and hard work. Anne worked to make the world a better place by supporting causes leading to a more equal society. She also made her own little corner of the world better by her love for her family, passion and energy for her beautiful house and garden, and her wonderful cooking! She was predeceased by husband John, and leaves many to lovingly remember her, especially her three children. She enjoyed the visits and phone calls from son Jack from Vancouver, and the company and support of Lynda and Eileen. Her companion throughout her life was her dear sister Emily. She is also remembered by Sylvia and Sylvia and Jack's children, Jacquie and husband Dan, Amber and husband Paulo, and Gordon; and seven great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, Madeleine and husband Fred and Audrey and husband John and their children. A gathering of family and friends to honour and celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, July 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Voyage Funeral Home. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
