JOSEPH (JOE) CLARENCE BATES Peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2005 Joseph (Joe) Clarence Bates passed away at the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB. Joe was born at Kinosota on November 9, 1911, where he resided until 2004 when he moved to the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home. Joe was predeceased by his wife Bessie (1989); his sons, Sam (2004) and Barrie (1967); son-in-law Don (1994); daughter-in-law Lyn (1997); parents, George and Margaret; step-father Donald; brother Lew; sisters Doris, Marion and Donalda as well as two siblings in infancy. Joe will be missed by sons, Gordon (Maria), Garnet (Phyllis); daughters, Annie and Agnus (Doug); daughter-in-law Jean; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Vi); his special friend Violet and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's name can be made to a charity of your choice. A celebration of Joe's life will be held at St. Bedes Anglican Church in Kinosota on Tuesday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. with Jona Weitzel officiating. Interment to follow at St. Bedes Anglican Cemetery.
