Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENT PHILIP DEGEN Kent passed away peacefully on June 30 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was born in Darlingford on May 5, 1947. Kent leaves to mourn his mother Isabelle (Powell); his brother Gene (Barbara), and his sister Joan (Graham); three nieces; two nephews; one grand niece and numerous other relatives. He was predeceased by his father Ted Degen in 2004. Kent started his school at Calf Mountain School. In 1957 he moved with his family to Winnipeg where he attended Britannia School and then Churchill High School and Tech Voc. In 1965 he joined the air force where he became an electronics technician. On leaving the forces he moved to Montreal where he worked for Marconi and Air Canada. He spent the last few years in Winnipeg. Kent enjoyed music and working out at the gym. He was very fond of animals. There will be a private family service led by Rev. W. Hutton and he will be interred with his dad at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to the Schizophrenia Society Inc. Manitoba, 3-1000 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0N3.
