HILDRED ELIZABETH WUR (nee ROSGER) 1917 - 2005 Sadly, on July 1, 2005 with her family at her side, Hildred passed away peacefully at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her mother Sara; father Fred; brother Cecil Rosger and sister Shirley Bergson (Carl )and brother-in-law Tony Wur. She is survived by her sister Beryl Whidden, brothers-in-law, Bob Wur (Gloria) and George Wur (Sylvia); sisters-in-law, Joan Rosger and Joan Wur and her good friend Brandur (Lefty) Goodbrandson. Mom is survived by her six children, Ken (Meri-Lee), Kandia (Bob), Kathy (Bernie), Mickey (Pat), Terry (Ray) and Rob (Jill); 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Langruth, MB and later moved to Selkirk. During the early years she was an active volunteer in the Mapleton School Parent Council, Selkirk Girls Baseball and the Progressive Conservative Party, where she met the Honourable John Deifenbaker. Her proudest accomplishment was her Monday night curling where she became a lifetime member. She was and avid sports fan and enjoyed watching her family members playing hockey and loved watching golf. Mom will be deeply missed by her family and her generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Interment to follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks for the excellent care and comfort provided by Red River nursing staff and all other personnel who provided care to Hildred throughout the years. Active pallbearers will be Desmond Desrochers, Ricky Wur, Brandur Wur, Teddy Wur, Joey Wur and Ryan Macumber. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Wur, Tanner Wur-Lucko, Jonathon Wur, Chantelle Birch, Nicole Williamson, Jodie Lucko and Tara Macumber. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hildred's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Mom, we love you. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
