Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONA CRAIGIE (nee MAKSYMYK) Peacefully on July 3, 2005 Lee passed away in her sleep at the St. Boniface Hospital. Lee was predeceased by her parents Dmytro and Mary Maksymyk; husband Bill; and siblings, Mike and Nettie (early childhood); sisters, Ann and Rose; brother Joe. Lee leaves to mourn brothers Steve, Paul (Doreen) and sisters, Ollie Kostiuk, Nell (Bill) Shewchuk; Auntie Olga Schmidt; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Lee was born in Malonton on March 4, 1922. Lee moved to Winnipeg and was a hairdresser until she retired. Lee enjoyed golf, curling, playing cards, bingo, and going to the casinos. Lee also enjoyed going out on weekends to the family farm and visiting with family and friends. Lee and Bill had many dogs and canaries throughout their years. Lee and Bill's house was always open as they housed many nieces and nephews throughout the years. Funeral service to be held at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, Rev. Fr. Cornell Zubritsky presiding. Interment following at Pleasant Home Cemetery. Pallbearers to be Steven and Sid Maksymyk, Jim and Nick Kostiuk, Grant Shewchuk and Jason Landygo. Special thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Dialysis Ward, St. Boniface Hospital, Home Care and many doctors and nurses for their care.
