Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCIS (FRANK) HENRY GREEN March 23, 1922 - July 1, 2005 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Pearl of 60 years and their four daughters, Judy (Bill) Carmichael, JoAnne (Mel) Morgan, Linda (Dave) Krol and Terri (Barry) Lucyk; grandchildren, Jodi (Michael), Scott (Rori), Jeff (Faby), Brent (Deanne), Michelle (Bradey), Ed (Melanie), Brad, Andrea, Bryan, Tyler and Paul; and great-grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Jordan Ashley, Christian, Trevor and Braden. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Eliza; and his brother Joseph Green. Frank was the second son born to Eliza and Joseph Green on March 23, 1922 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Following his graduation from St. Paul's High School he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After serving in the Air Force he began a lifelong career with Air Canada, training as an aircraft mechanic and retiring as Foreman at the age of 55. His retirement years allowed him the opportunity of devoting time and energy to his family and close friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand. For many years Frank assisted Father Leo MacDonald serving mass every Sunday at Deer Lodge Hospital where he and his daughters became a support to many veterans attending mass. Prior to spending the last seven months of his life as a resident at Deer Lodge Centre, Frank and Pearl met many new friends at Kildonan House. Everyone who knew and loved Frank will sadly miss his kind and gentle nature, his compassion and understanding and his generosity and commitment to his family. His incredible sense of humour would light up a room and his caring nature would provide unending comfort. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Frank's 'guardian angels', Kim, Rosa and Tina for their care, love and commitment; to Terri and Barry's neighbours and dear friends for always being there and to the staff on T3 at Deer Lodge for their wonderful care and support. Our thanks is also extended to Fr. Ray Baudry and Zeke for their friendship, countless visits and spiritual support. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Dr., North Kildonan. Viewing will take place one half hour before the service with a reception to follow. Pallbearers will be Frank's grandsons, Scott and Jeff Carmichael, Brent Morgan, Ed Snow, Brad and Bryan Krol, Tyler and Paul Lucyk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Winnipeg, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to Holy Redeemer's Stained Glass Memorial Fund, 264 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0W5.
