MYRTLE ANDERSON (nee MORRISON) On Sunday, July 3, 2005, our beloved Mom and Nan, passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 88 years. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Berthil; mother Sarah Morrison; father Cameron Morrison; brothers, Bob and Jock; sisters, Peggy (Karl) and Irene (Jack); brothers-in-law, Ador, Ed, Raymond (Edith) and sister-in-law Dora (John). She is survived by her daughter Linda (Stan); son Tom (Jan); grandchildren, Scott (Courtney), Kevin (Alison), Jodi (Kevin), Wesley; and her great-grandson Michael; sisters-in-law, Martha, Lorette, and Florence; brother-in-law Melvin (Vera); and numerous nieces and nephews. Bert and Myrt operated Anderson Greenhouses and Market Garden for over 65 years, which was a BirdsHill landmark. Myrtle lived and worked, cooked and cared for, on the same property for 65 years. Mom lived for her family and friends, and always had open arms for all who knew her, as long as you were willing to play cards and give up your money. Mom enjoyed going to the Casino, spending her summers at the family cabin, fussing with her garden, picking berries, and tending to her birds and critters that lived on her front porch. For all who knew Nan, they will miss her dearly, but we are now all so lucky to know that the Angels have a new recruit to help look after all of us. Thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital 5E for their support and compassion, in making Mom's last days comfortable. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Rd. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Scott and Kevin Magura, Jodi and Wes Anderson. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a charity of your choice. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241

  • My deepest condolences to the family. Sincerely, Sharon - Posted by: Sharon Morrison (Friend) on: Jul 09, 2005

  • Myrtle and Bert were names I heard many times from my parents, Elmer and Pauline Laird. Mom's sister Amy Gorham was also a good friend. So thoughts are with you at this time. - Posted by: Victor Laird (Acquaintance) on: Jul 06, 2005
