ELSIE MARY KING Sadly on Saturday, July 2, 2005, our beloved Mother, Nana and Friend, Elsie passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years. Elsie was predeceased by her daughter Sandra Webb. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Dorrie; daughter Yvonne (Hector); son-in-law Dick (Richard) (Elma); granddaughters, Cheryl, April (Joe), Monica; grandsons, Robin and Simon; great-granddaughter Dakota and great-grandsons, Kristopher and Justin; and special friends, the Moorhead family, Albert and Judy and overseas Ron and Marie Webb. Elsie was born on November 22, 1914 in Bromley, Kent, England. She immigrated to Canada in 1945, living in Churchill and Camp Shilo. She eventually worked in Winnipeg at Investors from 1963 until her retirement in 1979. Her many travels included trips to San Francisco, Vancouver Expo, Hawaii and England. A longtime resident of Lions Place, she will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like to thank the unit 3 North staff at the Victoria General Hospital and Dr. McGowan. A celebration of her life will be held at the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway on Friday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Manitoba Lung Association.
