BOGI GISLI PETUR BJARNASON June 23, 1926 - July 3, 2005 With sadness we announce the passing of our brother and uncle, Bogi Bjarnason. He died in hospital in Arborg, MB with family at his side, and at peace with the world. Bogi was predeceased by his parents, Eirikur and Steinunn; his brothers, Thorleifur, 1928, Bjarni Gudvin, 1918 and Skafti, 1993; sisters, Sigurros, 1995, Svava, 1982 and Johanna, 1925 (infancy). He is survived by sisters, Sigurlaug, Gudrun and Margret, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who loved him dearly. Bogi will be remembered as an outdoorsman, a farmer, a hunter and fisherman, and a man to whom family came first and foremost. Bogi lived out the better part of his life on the farm at Reykjum in the Geysir District, and, in retirement, moved to Arborg in 2003 with his sister Gudrun who saw to his care and comfort. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, at 4:00 p.m., at the Ardal Geysir Lutheran Church in Arborg, with interment to follow at Riverton Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Beukes, and the nursing staff at the Arborg Memorial Hospital for their thoughtfulness and care.
