Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY (HANK) PEDERSEN On July 3, 2005, Henry (Hank) Pedersen, aged 72 years of Sandy Hook, MB passed away peacefully at the Gimli Community Health Centre. Born April 17, 1933 in Wadhope, MB, he was the youngest son of the late Christina and Alfred Pedersen. Henry is survived by his wife Maureen; sons, Jeffrey (Ruby) and Shane (Jacquie); daughters, Kelli Barnett (Ted) and Leah. Henry was loved dearly by his many grandchildren, Jordan, Vanessa, Tyson, Jessie, Ashley, Dana, Breanne, Brenna, Matthew and Daniel; three great-grandchildren, Katie, R.J. and Ethan. Henry is survived by his sister Ruth Vande, brother, Anker (Lorainne), numerous nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Jerome Vande. Henry spent his formative years in Beresford Lake, MB where his parents were early mining settlers and later in Stony Mountain. At the age of two, Henry rolled down the side of a mountain and was forever nicknamed Tuffy . Henry spent his early career in underground mining and in 1957 joined with Simkim BACM (Genstar) until he retired in 1983 due to illness. Henry's family is proud of his achievements and reputation in the heavy construction industry. Henry supervised the building of many roads and airports in northern Manitoba and Ontario. Henry and Maureen celebrated 45 years of marriage with family just two weeks ago. They were best friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Unity Church, 300 Arlington St. (just north off Portage Avenue) with Pastor Sandi Carriere officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
