JOHN LETTVENUK Peacefully on July 5, 2005 at St. Boniface Hospital, John passed away at the age of 77 years. John was predeceased by his father George, mother Katherine and sister Alice. He is survived by his wife Eileen; daughter Lori Harland (Tom); son Jeff (Shelley); and grandchildren, Brady, Samantha and Chase. John was born in Canora, SK on June 6, 1928. He grew up on the farm in Saskatchewan, but spent most of his life living in Winnipeg with his wife Eileen (of 52 years). John worked in a variety of jobs, including Manitoba Sugar, Furnaceman and Fort Garry School Division. He retired in 1993 and spent his remaining years tinkering in the garage and cruising the back lane talking to neighbours. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
