BRYNHILDA BARTLEY Peacefully in her 98th year Bryn passed away. She was born in Wales on September 21, 1907 and came to Manitoba in March of 1927. She married Thomas T. Bartley and they farmed for a short time near Carman. They later lived in Rosebank and Miami where Tom was a grain buyer for the U.G.G. When Tom passed away she moved to Winnipeg and worked at the Odd Fellows Home in Charleswood for 15 years. Bryn retired to the Eastern Star Chalet and lived there until the fall of 2000. After a stay in hospital, she moved across the road to West Park Manor. Bryn was a longtime member of the Eastern Star. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Anita Greenway in Wales; her husband Thomas T. Bartley in 1961; their only daughter Eileen Wherrett in 1996 and her only great-granddaughter Arianna Wherrett in 1999. She is survived by her son-in-law John Wherrett; her grandson Al Wherrett (Pat Fox) and great-grandsons, Aidan and Aldan Wherrett; her granddaughter Beth Pollard (John) and great-grandsons, Ryan, Eric and Evan Pollard; her two sisters, Eileen, Jeannie and their families in the U.K. The family would like to thank the caring staff of West Park Manor. Cremation has taken place. An interment service will be held at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Carman. No flowers by request.
