EMERY JOSEPH ARSENAULT Our Father, Emery Joseph Arsenault passed away on June 28, 2005. Bill was born in Moncton, NB, on July 21, 1924. As a young man he met and married Eileen Margaret Cronin and together they had eight beautiful children. We remember Dad for his love of the outdoors, his wonderful sense of humour, his love of sports and watching his very talented sons play hockey, his legendary cooking, and working hard to provide for eight children. Dad's military life kept us on the move, from Camp Borden, ON, to Val Cartier, QC, and finally residing in Winnipeg, MB. Mom and Dad were married for over 28 years. Our Dad Bill is survived by his first wife Eileen Margaret Arsenault; children, Bob Arsenault (Janice), Charlotte Squires (Bill), Peggy Cole (Kelly), Sheila McAlpine (Bob), Nancy Ciupka, Tim Arsenault, Bill Arsenault, and Lisa Yano (Ross); grandchildren, Heather, Michael, Kristy, Sasha, Kenny, Lisa, Sophie; and great-granddaughter Hailey. We love you Dad and miss you. You will be forever in our hearts. Special thanks to Wally, Elaine, Bob and Rachael who loved and supported him through the hard times.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Dad, Just wanted to let you know that I loved you, despite the fact that I didn't understand the path you took in your life. I still have cherished memories of the letters you regularly wrote me while in Cypress, the wonderful Lemon Meringue Pies you made me for when you came home ,and how when you realised that I still couldn't tell time ,you took the patience to teach me. I also remember as a teen-ager when I got into trouble, although you must have been angry with me, the first thing you asked, is if I was hungry ,and took me out for something to eat. It must have been painful for you to leave us, yet you did. It was very painful for all of us as well. Mom was never the same, and we kids felt replaced by your new family, who I believe never appreciated you or loved you that way that your own kids did. I think later in life, you realized this, and attempted to re-connect. We were all there waiting for you, when you sadly passed away before that happened. Anyway, life can be complicated and difficult. I really loved you Dad. I hope you are now at peace. Love Nancy - Posted by: Nancy (Daughter) on: Mar 08, 2015
