EDWARD PHILIP DUBOWSKI July 14, 1938 - July 8, 2005 With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Ed, aged 66. With family members at his side, Ed died at the Grace Hospital from complications resulting from cancer. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Victoria of 44 years; one son Richard; two daughters, Glenda (Dave) Willman, Karen (George) Jacques; four special grandchildren, Abby, Nolan, Kelsey and Blake; and one brother John of Fisher Branch, MB. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Mary; brother Stanley; and sister Josephine Boychuk. Ed was raised in Fisher Branch, where he enjoyed playing baseball, pool, curling and spending time with friends. He moved to Winnipeg in 1961 where he worked for a trucking company, Motorways for 32 years. He started with Motorways as a local city driver and later became a highway driver. Ed's love and loyalty for his family, special grandchildren and friends was beyond compare. He enjoyed family gatherings and watching his special grandchildren grow. Ed's arms and heart were always open to help everyone around. As soon as you asked Ed he would have his cap on and be in his Dodge truck ready to lend a hand or deliver goodies to his kids and grand kids. Thanks Ed for always being there when we needed you. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you When God called you Home. Though your smile is gone forever And your hand we cannot touch, We will never lose the memory Of one we loved so much. Thanks for the loving years you gave us, The happy times we shared; We all prayed that when you left us You knew how much we cared. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again. Thanks to the staff on 3N at the Grace Hospital and Dr. Ahmid, staff at CancerCare Manitoba, especially Paul. A celebration of Ed's life will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Cremation has taken place. The family will honour his burial privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of choice. Be nice to someone today. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
