Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERMAINE MARTHA DELICHTE (nee RIGAUX) 1917 - 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on July 9, 2005 at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre, Winnipeg, MB. Germaine Martha Delichte leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her loving memory her son Allan and daughter-in-law Sheila; granddaughters, Karyn and Barbara; and great-grandchildren, Kirsten and Ryan. Germaine was predeceased by her husband Joseph (Jeff), in 1993. She was also predeceased by parents, Ernest and Victorine Rigaux; sister Angeline; and brothers, Albert, Robert and Omer. Germaine is survived by sisters, Magdelena and Justine; and brothers, Gilbert and Hubert. Germaine was born in Cypress River, MB on September 12, 1917. Following in the family tradition, she became a seamstress at a very young age. Throughout her life, she perfected those skills and found great joy in making clothing for her granddaughters and their dolls. In 1941, Germaine was married to Joseph, her husband of 52 years. The family lived in St. Alphonse and Holland, MB before moving to Winnipeg in 1956, where she worked for Canada Post until her retirement. After her retirement, Germaine enjoyed many family vacations and got her greatest pleasure from family dinners and visits with her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12. Interment will take place later that same day at the St. Alphonse Catholic Cemetery, St. Alphonse, MB at 4:00 p.m. Special thanks to staff at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre, Fr. Patrick Morand for the funeral service.
