Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY WISHNOWSKI On July 8, 2005 at the Arborg and District Health Centre, Stanley Wishnowski, aged 84 years, of Riverton, MB, beloved husband of Begga. Stan was born on the family farm on December 10, 1920, the eldest son of Adam and Mary Wishnowski and brother to 11 siblings. He left school at the age of 13 to relieve his mother who was hauling pulpwood with sleigh and horses. He learned to hunt and supplied meat for the family. In 1942 he joined the army and served his country during the Second World War. After the war he met and married a woman who stood by his side for 54 years, a true friend and confident, Begga (nee Anderson). Together they looked after livestock and built the family farm. They achieved projects and goals often considered impossible by others. Dad worked hard all his life farming and working in the bush cutting pulp and lumber. He loved farming and also helped out his neighbours, friends and family whenever they needed a hand. They could always count on his help and always at no charge. Stan also enjoyed hunting and took great pride in a successful hunt. He loved to tell his hunting stories most of them true . Stan had a high standard when it came to driving cars and playing hockey and the grandchildren had to work very hard before they were certified . Grandpa Bud loved to take his grandkids on tractor rides and usually had them sleeping before the first round on the field. Stanley was very fond of all his children and grandchildren and in his own way made his affection known by his thoughtful questions and concern for their well being. His dream of late was that he could see his children prospering and living happily. Stan leaves surviving his wife, Begga, three children, Clifford, Russell (Cathy) and Rena Zinkowski (Michael); grandchildren, Clint (Ruby), Rachel (Bill), Dezrae, Daley, Cassie (Kevin), Wendy (Ian), Eric, Vince (Wendy), Les (Jenn), Justin and Travis; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Adam. A family interment will be held at the Riverton Cemetery. His pallbearers will be grandsons, Clint, Vince, Eric, Les, Jay and Trav. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
