Jeanne grew up in St. Malo, where she enjoyed playing with her siblings and friends. She liked school and to sing and read. At 15 she moved to Winnipeg and worked as a nurses's aid at The Misericordia Hospital. Jeanne married Eugene when she was 18 years old and started a family. Mom was a devoted wife and mother, who loved to cook, bake, clean and entertain. In fact, she was happiest when her house was full of lively, happy people. Following cremation, service will be held at St. Eugene Church, 1007 St. Mary's Rd., on Thursday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Jeanne's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Phone: (204) 949-2000. The last eight weeks of Mom's life were spent at the Victoria Hospital where she was well cared for. A special thanks to nurses Chyanne and Teena. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be. So He closed His arms Around you and whispered, Come to Me. You didn't deserve What you went through, So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. And when we saw you sleeping So peaceful and free from pain, We could not wish you back To suffer that again. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 233-4949, toll free 1-888-233-4949.
