Mom married Georges Beaudette in 1926. They were blessed with ten children and were fortunate to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in 1986. Marie worked hard and toiled alongside her husband on the farm in St. Jean Baptiste. She enjoyed gardening, teaching 4H Clubs, knitting, sewing and crafts. Her children and grandchildren have enjoyed her many afghans, quilts, slippers and other handmade projects. She catered weddings for many years and was active in her church and her community. Mom and Dad moved to Villa Youville in St. Anne in 1984. Mom was a keen card player and spent many enjoyable evenings playing cards with her numerous friends both in St. Jean and in St. Anne. She always treasured the many visits from her nephews, nieces and grandchildren. The family would like to thank everyone who has offered our Mother comfort and joy throughout the years. Many thanks to Brunel Girardin and the staff at Villa Youville. Thanks also to those who travelled the last mile with her, especially Soeur Rioux, Soeur Forest, her niece Lillian Wright, and her friend Lucille Fiola. Her final days were very peaceful. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the St. Jean Baptiste Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2005, Fr. Charles Fillion officiating.
