Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MAKOWSKI-HOLOWATY (nee OSADCHUK) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Makowski-Holowaty on July 11, 2005. She was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Fedora Osadchuk; her brother Nick Osadchuk; her husband Walter Makowski (1966); and her husband Paul Holowaty (2003). Mary is survived by one sister Ann Demchuk; her daughter Iris and John Gnutel; her stepchildren, Irene, Jerry, Ed and Nancy Holowaty; three grandsons, David and Genia Gnutel, Donald and Michelle Gnutel, Michael and Mary Gnutel; as well as eight great-grandchildren, Alexis, Daria, Joshua, Gregory, Luke, Stephen, Matthew and Amy. Mary was born May 28, 1911 in the Denieper, SK area. Mary was a long standing member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was a dedicated worker in Fundraising in the building of our St. Michael's Hall and later our church. Mary was a friendly person and greeted everybody. She was an honorary member of the U.C.W.L., and also a member of the Friendly Settlers Senior Club. The family wishes to express our thanks to all the staff at St. Joseph's Residence for your compassion and excellent care. Prayers will be held on Thursday, July 14 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Krochak presiding. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Michael's Cultural Centre or to a charity of your choice.
