Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE AGNES LINKLATER Peacefully on July 12, 2005 with her family by her side, Florence Agnes Linklater, aged 77 years, a lifelong resident of Grand Marais, MB, passed away at the Concordia Hospital. She is survived by her sons, David (Valarie), Derence (Sandra), Cleo, Keith, Robin, John, Jay and Douglas; daughters, Stephanie, Iris and Florence; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Isabel Thomas; sisters-in-law Bessie Irvine and Sarah Webb; brother-in-law Don Labey and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband Dempsey (1978); parents William and Louise; infant daughter Yuille Ann (1958) and siblings, Alfred, William, Calvin, Clarence, Edwin, Herbert, Harry, Sydney, Wallace, Beatrice and Edith. Mom was born on February 29, 1928 in Grand Marais, MB. She married her husband, a veteran of the Second World War and raised 12 children. Florence was a devoted mother, always putting her family first. (We were blessed to have her in our lives). She was strong, hard working, generous and showed care and concern for others. The family would like to thank the staff at the Concordia Hospital on 3 West and Dr. Kuegle for the care of our mother. Viewing will be held Thursday, July 14 (tonight) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Judes Anglican Church, Grand Marais, MB with Rev. Judy Whitmore officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the parish cemetery. God saw you getting tired, A cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, Come to Me . You're now at peaceful rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the Best. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
