Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON WILLIAM CLUBB Peacefully, surrounded by his family Gordon William Clubb passed away on July 12, 2005 at the Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his father William John and mother Maude Clubb; daughter Barbara Gail. Gordon is survived by his wife of 57 years Genevieve; daughters, Susan Trigg and Leslie (David) Sydorchuk; grandson Steven; brothers, Edward (Joyce) and Ron (June); his only sister Shirley; and his brothers' children. Gordon was born in Winnipeg on March 18, 1920 and lived all his life in Winnipeg. He attended General Wolfe, John M. King, and Daniel McIntyre schools. He started his working career with Reliance Ink and in 1940 joined the RCAF. He served as a wireless gunner until 1942, when he became a prisoner of war until liberation in 1945. Upon returning home he worked for 20th Century Fox. In 1950 he became manager of Warner Lambert Office in Winnipeg until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed numerous sporting activities, and was a member of Charleswood Golf Club and Charleswood Curling Club. Gordon had a great sense of humour, quick wit, and a knack for the occasional soft shoe. He encountered ill health in later years and bore the difficulties with great grace. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of 3N Grace Hospital for their compassionate care. Memorial service will be held on Friday July 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, 1111 Portage Ave., Winnipeg., MB, R3G 0S8, C.N.I.B., 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3G 3M3, or a charity of your choice.
