MIRIAM (TOMMY) MARIE JUPP (nee THOMPSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on July 13, 2005 at the Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg, MB. Marie leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her loving memory her daughter Dyanne (Ron) Martin; son Richard (Donna); grandsons, Kevin (Lynn), Kelly, great-grandson Ryan; brother Charles (Winnie); sisters, Helen, Margaret; sisters-in-law, Marie and Marge. Marie was predeceased by her husband Melvin in 1967. She was also predeceased by parents, Monica and Alton Thompson; sister Toots; brothers, Joe and Gibb. Marie was born in Aneroid, SK on August 19, 1923. Mother was a very devoted employee of Eaton's for many years. Upon her retirement she loved to watch sports, knit, read and enjoyed making afghan blankets for all the family. She also made many sets of baby clothes for the Children's Hospital, and toques, scarves and mitts for the needy at Christmas time. She always had a special place in her heart for our four legged friends. Mom loved all kinds of plants and flowers and spent many hours on her balcony nurturing them. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. As per Mother's wish, there will be no funeral service. We would like to express a very special thank you to the staff on the Third Floor, East Wing of the Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion in making Mom's last days comfortable. They truly are special people. This is a poem that Mother passed onto us: A MOTHER'S LOVE A Mother's love is important for every child to see. To hold, to touch, to kiss their cheeks, Her way for them to be. A love so gentle, a love that is so pure, A love that only a Mother's love is felt and will endure. She knows your every weakness, She knows your every pain, She knows a Mother's love for you has everything to gain, You see her will to do what's right, And hope you don't do wrong, But if you do, a Mother's love forgives, and just goes on. WE LOVE YOU MOM AND GRANDMA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB. Arrangements entrusted to: BASIC CREMATION SERVICES 1-204-475-2100
