JEAN KATHLEEN HOLLOWAY (nee McMAHON) Peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, Jean Holloway passed away at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital at the age of 72 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband Bob; daughters, Lori (Jerry) Combot, Sharon Strong; sons, Ken (Arlie) Strong, Barry (Melissa) Strong, Doug (Jerry) Strong; grandchildren who she adored Caitlin, Riley and Brady. She is also survived by brothers, Jim (Audrey) McMahon, Fred (Elsie) McMahon, Wally (Marilyn) McMahon, Cliff (Patti) McMahon, Herb (Marion) McMahon and Elmer McMahon; brothers-in-law, Tom (Betty) Holloway, Jim Holloway; sisters-in-law, Florence (Bill) Lepp and Margaret Markwart; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her brother Albert and sister Elsie. Jean was born November 2, 1932, raised in Teulon, MB. Growing up wasn't always easy being only one of two girls in the family. Mom worked hard on the farm her whole life whether it was feeding the animals or going to the hay field. There was never any shortage of jobs and even without her license, she still got the truck or tractor to the field. She enjoyed going to bingo, doing puzzles and visiting with family and friends. She never passed on an opportunity to play a game of cards. Her passion was cooking. No one ever went hungry. She also loved baking, especially for the fair which she missed for the first time this year. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, no matter what they did or said. There was never any wrong. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, in the Lundar Legion with Pastor Melanie Kauppila officiating. Interment will be held at the Lundar Municipal Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital staff, Dr. Burnett, Dr. Steyn for all the care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. ASHERN - LUNDAR 1-204-768-2072
