GARRY W. ODOKEYCHUK December 11, 1946 - July 13, 2005 Peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at the Concordia Hospital after a brief but brave fight with cancer Garry, beloved husband of Dorothy Hanuschak and a father to Kim and Scott passed away. Garry is survived by his parents, Bill and Mary; brother Ken (Julie); nephew Tim (Julie); niece Alana; brother-in-law Gerry Michasiw (Rita); nephews, Jimmy, Jared; niece Melissa; and great-nephew Riley; brother-in-law Randy Andrews (Dianne); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Garry was predeceased by his sister Linda Andrews, his aunt Adeline Solleveld, uncle George Gushulak and his grandparents. Garry was born and raised in Winnipeg and during his younger adult life spent many happy years living and working in Vancouver, BC. Over the past 25 years he had the most fulfilling years with Dorothy and the boys. He worked many years in various labour related jobs in the city and his last job at Jeldwen Windows was probably what he enjoyed the most. His greatest joy was being everyone's helper. He would never say no to anyone if they needed help. Garry will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Cremation has already taken place and a memorial service in Garry's honour will be held Monday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapel on the corner of Broadway and Sherbrook. Dorothy would like to thank the honorary pallbearers, Kim and Scott Hanuschak, Ken Odokeychuk, Randy Andrews, Gerry Michasiw and Paul Hendricks.
