ROLANDE LOUISE ROCHE It is with great sadness that the family of Rolande Roche announces her peaceful passing on July 13, 2005 at the Misericordia Health Centre after a lengthy illness of congestive heart failure. Rolande was born on September 28, 1917 in St. Boniface and grew up in St. Vital She was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1978, her parents, four brothers and her four sisters. She leaves to mourn, her sister Lucille Steinhauer, her sister-in-law Therese Gingras of Montreal, also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Rolande loved her family and was very interested in their lives. Rollie, as she was affectionately called was always involved in sports, playing baseball and later golfing at the St. Boniface Golf Club, where she was a member for many years. She also enjoyed bowling and curling. She also enjoyed playing cards and backgammon. During her illness she enjoyed watching all the above sports on T.V. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St. with Fr. Fred Olds officiating. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Rollie may be made to a charity of one's choice. In a special way the family would like to express their thanks to her nieces who helped care for her, Heather Grande, Denise Self, Linda Moberg, Doris Wilkes.
