Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTILLIE ZAJIC (NEE DACHUK) September 29, 1914 - July 12, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother after a brief illness, peacefully with her family by her side, at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 90 years. Tillie was predeceased by her husband John in 1971 and son Emil in 2000; also by her parents Mike and Ksenia; brothers, Joe, Harry, Mike and Alex; sisters Olenka and Mary. Tillie is survived by her sons Mike (Eva), Morris (Emily) and Nick; also eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Louis Sosnowich of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters-in-law, Stella Dachuk of Toronto ON and Mary Dachuk of Bonita Springs, FL, also numerous nephews and nieces in Canada and the United States. Tillie was born September 29, 1914 in Mossy River, MB. She married her husband John in 1933. They settled on a farm in Venlaw, MB where they farmed and raised four sons before moving to Winnipeg in 1960. Tillie then worked at Canadian Sportswear until she retired in 1973. She then moved to Toronto in 1974 to be by her brothers and sister and her elderly mother. She then moved back to Winnipeg in 1983 where she lived in an apartment on Henderson Highway until her illness. Tillie loved knitting, crocheting, baking and cooking, she was also an active member of the St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church. A special thanks to all the staff at the Maples Care Home for all their constant care and attention they gave her. Also thanks to Rev. Fr. Ivan Mostivsky for his prayers. Prayers will be said on Sunday, July 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, July 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 160 Euclid Ave. with Rt. Rev. Mitrat Jaroslaw Holowaty and Rev. Fr. Ivan Mostivsky. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaroslaw Szelemej, Kent Spraggs, Sheila Spraggs, Glen Zajic, Bob Huzyk and Robert Fraser. VICHNAYA PAMYAT CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
