SOPHIE ELSIE WATSKO (nee CYNCORA) On July 15, 2005, Sophie Watsko, after a courageous battle, has joined her predeceased infant son, Ricky and her parents, Teenie and Nick Cyncora. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Ray Watsko, children, Miles (Shawna), Debra, Randy (Christine); her brothers, Walter, Larry and Peter; grandchildren, Maegan, Ashley, Brett and Allyssa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born in 1933 on a farm in Eastdale, MB. In 1953, she married dad and they started a home in Hazelridge where they began raising their children. They later moved to Dugald, MB. Mom's world was her family and she raised us with a loving hand while dad worked hard with his business. She cherished her grandchildren and was devoted to them. Mom loved to cook and she delighted in always welcoming friends and family with plenty of love and food. The family would like to thank the warm and caring staff at Concordia Hospital N3W as well as Mom's home care workers from the NEHA region. Prayers will be held Tuesday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue, Beausejour, MB. Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. Interment will follow at Eastdale Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made, if friends and family so desire, in Sophie's memory to The Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
