Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL HARASYMCHUK Peacefully on July 16, 2005 Paul passed away at the Beausejour Hospital. Paul joins his beloved wife Patricia, whom he missed dearly after her death December 17, 1997. Paul was born October 17, 1916 in Lowland to Nick and Teenie Harasymchuk. He worked on the family farm, married Patricia on April 26, 1943 and was called into the army in August 1943. He trained in Victoria and Prince Rupert, BC. He was then shipped via Halifax to France, Germany, England and finally to Holland at the end of the Second World War. He returned to Manitoba in 1946 and began farming with Patricia in the Springwell district. Paul also picked up the Royal Mail in Lac du Bonnet on Saturday mornings and delivered the mail to the Brightstone and Springwell Post Offices. He later worked for Waters Construction which led him to be a caretaker for Fred H. Gauer until his retirement. Paul and Patricia resided their final years in the town of Lac du Bonnet. Paul was predeceased by his parents, infant sister, brothers, Stanley, John and Mike. He is survived by a sister Annie Rogocki. Paul is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth (Leslie) Schinkel and Carolyn Gauthier; grandchildren, Kevin, Markus, Jonathan (Catherine), Kristen and Morgan Schinkel; Dereck (Jennifer Blanchette) Gauthier and Sheri (Aldrin) Sumaling. He was a great-grandpa to Wyatt Gauthier and Bennon, Jessi-Lynn and Evan Sumaling. Paul is also survived by Pat's family, especially brother-in-law Peter and Donna Hunchak. At Paul's request cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, July 19 at the Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church in Lac du Bonnet for family and friends at 10:30 a.m. Russell's of Beausejour, Manitoba are in care of arrangements.
