Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD ROBERT HAMPSON July 10, 1919 - July 17, 2005 It is with deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Harold Bushy Hampson on Sunday July 17, 2005. Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lena, sons; Brian (Linda), Kelvin (Bonny), daughters; Kathy (Bob) DeMeyer, Diane (Jim) Moroz and Barb (Mac) Horn. Grandchildren; Angela (Andrew), David (Robin), Chris (Darlene), Ryan, Donna (Dan), Mark (Angela), Brad (Dana), Megan (Colin), Matthew, Michael (Leanne), five great-grandchildren; Melissa, Amanda, Jeremy, Jill and Nikole, and one brother, Harry (Muriel). He was predeceased by two brothers, Orville and Ken, two sisters, Gladys and Betty, and one son in infancy. Dad was born on July 10, 1919 and raised on the family farm in Ferndale. He resided there all his life, farming until poor health forced him to step aside and let his son take over. He never lost his passion for the land, maintaining his interest by cutting grass endlessly and repairing whatever needed repairing. There weren't many things he could not fix. Whenever the job required more expertise, he always called on his best friend Hal Chase (departed) or Lloyd Moors (departed) to come up with a solution. Dad was a member of the Sanford Legion and a lifetime member of the Starbuck Curling Club. Dad's memory will always be cherished and forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Dad who worked so hard and saved so long for what we have today, and anytime would sacrifice his chance to rest or play. Who always saw his children have the things he did without, and gave so much unselfishly, for that's what love's about. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the home care providers, (especially Deb, Shirley and Agnes and special thanks to Eveline) for their care and understanding which allowed Dad to pass away at home, as was his wish. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 20 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200-6 Donald Street, Wpg., MB R3L 0K6. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca

Dear Aunt Lena and family, May the memories you share, help all of you through this difficult time. I only wish I could be with you to share the hugs and sorrow. I remember an Uncle who never passed up a chance to tease me about living in Ottawa, and therefore being responsible for all the government issues in the West. I remember his hearty chuckle, his sincere interest in my well-being and that of my family, and most of all I will miss his huge hugs that I could melt into. Heartfelt sympathy and love Trudy and Cliff - Posted by: Trudy Shirtliffe (Family) on: Jul 20, 2005
