HENRY SACHVIE Peacefully, on Sunday, July 17, 2005, Henry passed away at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB. Henry was born on February 20, 1920. Dad will be deeply missed by his 3 sons, Gerald and his wife Pat and their children, Jamie, Kim (Kirk); Mervin and his wife Holly and their children Jolene (husband Geoff) and Derek; and Glen and his wife Corinne and their children Dana and Brad. He is also survived by his son-in-law Ron Flatt and grandson Kevin Flatt. He also has two great-grandchildren Jordan and Keaton. Henry also leaves his siblings Jake Sachvie (Tillie), Alvina Werner, Linda Kletke and August Sachvie (Irma) to mourn his loss. Dad deeply missed his loving wife Wanda, who predeceased him on July 22, 2002 after 59 years of marriage. He was also predeceased by his much loved only daughter Vera Flatt in December 2001, his father Edward on February 5, 1953, his mother Marie on May 14, 1976, his brothers Edward, Gottlieb and Ferdinand (in infancy) and sisters Karoline (in infancy), Mathilde, Bertha and Reyena. Dad enjoyed farming on his homestead in Golden Bay, MB for 48 years with his much loved wife by his side. He and Mom enjoyed going to church every Sunday, which was a significant part of their lives. Dad was a very loving and generous person who enjoyed company to the fullest. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his children and was always there for them in time of need. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue E., Beausejour, with Pastor Mark Koenker officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Green Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Henry may be made to East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB.
