Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ALYLUIA It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Mary Alyluia on July 16, 2005 at Fred Douglas Lodge at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph in 1983 and brother Joe Sitko. Mary leaves to mourn her daughter Jeanne (Lyle Stern) of Ottawa, ON; her son Kenneth (Maryka) of Edmonton, AB; 3 grandchildren Gabriel Stern, Patrick Alyluia and Maran Stern. Mary was born in Mnenkish Nova, Ukraine, February 18, 1914 and came to Canada in 1926. She took great pleasure in visiting her families in both Edmonton and Ottawa. She loved gardening and music. Strong in her faith, she was a devoted member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church and an active member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League, but was ecumenical in her philosophy. All who were touched by Mary will miss her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge for the loving care she was given. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Rev. Nestor Yakiwchuk officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Fred Douglas Society, 1275 Burrows Ave., Wpg., MB R2X 0B8. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
