(JACK) JOHN DAVID THEXTON (RETIRED CGE) Peacefully at home, Sunday, July 17, 2005. Jack was born February 28, 1930 in Winnipeg, MB. Beloved son of the late Harvey and Nora Thexton. Loving father of David Thexton (Susan) of Truro, NS, Diane Thexton (Collin Dudart) of Peterborough, ON, Donna Pintar (John) of Waterloo, ON and Doug Thexton (Laura Knowles) of Peterborough. Devoted grandpa to Jennifer and Tiffany Thexton; Connie, Chris and Becky Herod; Stephanie, Mark and Eric Pintar; Wayne and Shuster. Brother of Ted Thexton (Rhoda) of Ottawa, uncle to their children, Christine, Kent and Bryan and their families. He will be missed by his dear friend Mary Lynch. His laughter and friendship will be missed by the gang at Devil's Elbow, Liftlock Golf Course and the many Bid-Euchre players in the city. Friends will be received at the Comstock Funeral Home and Centre, Peterborough on Friday, July 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service in the chapel on Saturday, July 23 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ontario Track 3 Ski Association. This winter on the first sunny day of the ski season, Jack asks you to Whoop one up!
