Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATARINA HARASEMIW Peacefully, after a lengthy hospital stay, Katarina Harasemiw, beloved mother, baba and great-baba passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Katarina was born on January 22, 1924 in the village of Deviatina, Bosnia. She came to Canada in December 1988 to be with her children and grandchildren. Here she enjoyed spending time in her garden helping Metro grow beautiful flowers and vegetables. Katarina leaves to mourn her passing son Metro (Maria) Harasemiw, son-in-law Mihajlo (Mary) Lepki of Winnipeg and son Slavko (Anna) Harasemiw of Bosnia; grandchildren, Lisa Zenon and Oksana Harasemiw and George (Susan) Lepki all of Winnipeg, Anne (Danny) Ilias of White Rock, BC, Ivan and Sasha Harasemiw of Bosnia and Genia (Ivan) Pjekni of Australia; and her beloved great-granddaughter Kaitlin Lepki. Katarina also leaves to mourn her three sisters and their families, Mychajlina Bucko in Bosnia, Maria Babij in Belgrade, Serbia, Anna Lescesen in Australia; and brother Ivan Prihoda in Serbia. She was predeceased by her husband Volodymir; her parents, Sofia and Nykola Prihoda; daughter Vera Lepki; bothers, Petro and Mihal Prihoda. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 22 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23 at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 160 Euclid Ave. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. Holowaty and Rt. Rev. Msgr. G. Oucharyk officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandson George Lepki and Zenon Harasemiw; and family friends, Roman Chabajiluk, Andrew Milinkovic, Vlado Sajdak and Walter Urbanowich. The family would like to thank their friends and neighbours for their support during this difficult time. Special thanks to Dr. Tsang for his many years of service, Dr. Patel and the nursing staff of Seven Oaks Hospital who attended to Katarina's needs and gave support to the family.
