Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE BERARD (nee BRUNET) 1931 - 2005 On July 19, 2005, after an exhausting battle and surrounded by warmth and love, Therese laid back her head, closed her eyes and went to sleep. Therese will be remembered always by her beloved Lionel; her 12 children, Leo, Lise, Marc, Annette, Rita, Diane, Gabrielle, Nicole, Denis, Gerard, Donald, Renee and their families; her siblings, Helene, Roger, Denise, Gisele, Madeleine, Aime, Ginette and their families and her in-laws and their families; as well as many friends, here and in Hallock. Therese was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Delima Brunet; her brother Claude; her son-in-law Denis; and her grandson Bryan; parents-in-law, Euclide and Florestine Berard. Therese was born on February 21, 1931, and resided in St. Joseph, MB, where she married Lionel on February 21, 1949. She raised her family in many different places, following Dad wherever he could find work to support their ever growing family. As her children grew up and moved away, she started to drive a school bus for the Seine River Division and she really began to enjoy her greatest joy, camping. Mom worked hard and endured many sorrows during her lifetime, and we know she deserves this peaceful rest, but we also know she's up there, watching over Dad as she has, day and night, for the past 56 years. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and health care aides who watched over Mom with so much patience and care for the last four months. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., July 25 at the St. Norbert Roman Catholic Church on rue St. Pierre in St. Norbert. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 (tel. No. 949-2000), would be greatly appreciated. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949; toll free 1-888-233-4949. Our condolences to you Lionel and your family. We enjoyed the many get togethers in Hallock and we miss it as we are now living in Alberta. Terry was very special and I am glad we had the opportunity of knowing her. Sincerely, Bob and Joan (Part of the Bumpalong Club). - Posted by: Bob amd Joan Tufts (Friend) on: Jul 23, 2005
