CECIL LEWIS DYKE (LEW) May 26, 1933 - July 14, 2005 Peacefully in hospital, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. We are all saddened by his passing as he will be greatly missed. Lew was born in Winkler, MB and grew up in Winnipeg. He attended Gordon Bell High School, was married in 1955 and had three children. After a lifelong career in the printing trade, including many years at the Winnipeg Free Press, he retired and moved to Kelowna in 1998. From a very early age he was committed to helping others. During his retirement in Kelowna, he was involved with many volunteer organizations such as the Arthritis Society and Community Policing. Lew will be fondly remembered for his strength, sense of humour and insatiable thirst for knowledge. Cremation by request. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1211 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna BC.
