GEORGE DOUGLAS (DOUG) ANDERSON Peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2005, Doug passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 97 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Betty); his two beloved sons, Robert (Bob) and Charles (Chuck) and his sister-in-law, Violet (Vi). He was predeceased by his two brothers, Claude and Earl and his sister, Irene. Doug was born in Winnipeg and grew up at Old Pinawa. He worked for Winnipeg Hydro at Pointe du Bois until his retirement in February 1973. He and Betty spent many years at their cottage on Pinawa Bay. Doug loved curling and the outdoors. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from the Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care. Please join the family for a come-and-go memorial reception between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July, 27 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. No formal service will be held.
